As an aside, I am very into UTAUloid songs.

These are pictures of characters from my favorite manga artist, Koge-Donbo. The one above is Pyocola Analog III from Di Gi Charat, and the one on the bottom is Misha and Shia from Pita-ten. Below is an image of Koge-Donbo's doujin (self-published) Harry Potter manga.

These are the Harry Potter books. It is a famous series of novels that pretty much every American has heard of, at least in passing.

Here's a picture of my favorite anime/manga/light novel character. Her name is Haruhi Suzumiya. She originated from a light novel called The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya by Nagaru Tanigawa. It has been made into a manga, anime, ONA (original net animation), and a game. Haruhi is voiced by Aya Hirano(Japanese) and Wendee Lee(English).

5 facts about novels, manga, and anime.

I would now like to list some facts about novels. (1) All novels have a plot that is resolved by the end of the book or series. The Harry Potter books are a great example of this. Every book, some problem arises which is taken care of in the end. There is also a on-going plot of the quest to defeat Voldemort. (2) All novels also have a central character(s). If a character is hard to get attached to, or there are too many characters, the novel might be hard to get into. Bad characters (well, one or two is fine) make for a bad story. (3) The setting is also important. Wicked, for example, takes place in the fanciful land of Oz. If there is no setting the story doesn't make sense. Now I will talk about manga and anime. To start, (4) manga and anime are different. Manga are comics with a coherent plot, and anime is a form of animation (anyone who calls it cartoons will have thousands of anime fans for enemies). Most anime is based off of manga, but it can be vastly different from the original. A good example of this is Shugo Chara, in which the manga was a teen manga and the anime is for children. (5) Manga. of varying genres and for varying ages, it is a cornucopia of joy for it's fans. Some artists draw in great detail, some not so much. Some manga is all about slapstick comedy, some is tragically romantic. All manga, even yaoi, has it's fans however, and no manga is too good for me.

My Goal

I have decided to write about certain types of creative stories. Those types are my favorites and are as follows: Novels, Manga, and Anime. I would like to inform people of these subjects and would also like to talk about making these things. I will also inform you of popular series of these types of stories. I will also be talking about whatever interests me in these catagories at the moment. I appreciate your time.
